On Sunday afternoon, Premier League leaders Manchester City travel to Championship Cardiff in the FA Cup fourth round.

Cardiff’s priority this season is promotion to the Premier League. Neil Warnock’s side are third in the table after a steady campaign in the second tier. However, they will relish a crack at beating the country’s leading team in City.

Cardiff are currently on an unbeaten run of four games in all competitions, recording two wins and two draws. A key to that recent unbeaten run is a defensive improvement, as the Bluebirds have conceded just once in their last four games, keeping three clean sheets in the process.

The home side’s recent home record is a mixed one. However, the Welsh side have won just one of their last four games at the Cardiff City Stadium in all competitions.

Cardiff needed a replay to beat lower league Mansfield in the last round, so will need to massively raise their game to avoid embarrassment against the visitors.

Manchester City have been highly formidable opposition for every team this season. The Citizens are running away with the Premier League title. Meanwhile, they still have a chance of the quadruple.

Pep Guardiola’s side have lost just twice in all competitions this season, so the Bluebirds have a massive task on their hands to eliminate the visitors.

Last time out, City recorded a 3-2 win over Bristol City in the EFL Cup to make it to one cup final. They will need to negotiate this tricky tie if they are to make it to another cup final.

Pep Guardiola’s side have been highly prolific in all competitions this season and have scored at least two goals in their last six games. Interestingly, though, the visitors have not kept a clean sheet in their last six games in all competitions.

An away game at Cardiff is a potential banana skin for Manchester City. However, Forebet predicts that the Citizens will record a comfortable victory in this one.
