RB Leipzig to continue winning run against Gladbach

RB Leipzig to continue winning run against Gladbach

RB Leipzig surprised everybody by finishing as runners-up in the German Bundesliga last season. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side made a poor start by losing their first league game 2-0 at Schalke. However, they have now recorded two straight wins in the German top-flight.

On Saturday Leipzig host Monchengladbach at the Red Bull Arena, as the home side look to continue their winning run in the German top-flight. Hasenhuttl’s side kicked off their Champions League campaign in midweek by drawing 1-1 with French champions Monaco.

RB Leipzig built last season’s success on a good home record in the Bundesliga, as they have now won four of their last six games in the top-flight. A big part of that good record was their prolific displays in front of goal at home in the Bundesliga, as they have scored four or more goals in four of their last six games in the German top-flight.

The home side have only faced Monchengladbach twice in the Bundesliga, picking up four points from their two top-flight meetings.

Monchengladbach have enjoyed mixed fortunes at the start of the Bundesliga campaign. Gladbach have won one, drawn one and lost one of their three Bundesliga outings so far this season. Last time out the visitors suffered a 1-0 home defeat by Eintracht Frankfurt.

Dieter Hecking’s team have now drawn four of their last six games in the German top-flight. The visitors have a decent recent away record in the Bundesliga, having suffered just one defeat in their last six away outings in German top-flight.

Gladbach have also been prolific in recent away games in the Bundesliga, as they have scored two or more goals in four of their last five games on their travels.

Forebet predicts that RB Leipzig’s good home record will continue in this clash and Monchengladbach’s mixed fortunes will continue.
