Two sides battling towards the top end of the Saudi Pro League will lock horns at the King Abdullah Sports City on Monday night.

Fourth-placed Al-Taawoun welcome sixth-placed Al-Ettifaq to Buraidah, with only a handful of points separating the clubs in the standings.

Can the Wolves move closer to the top three? Or will Steven Gerrard’s side close the gap? Continue reading to discover what Forebet’s AI algorithm predicts.

Al-Taawoun won their previous home game 1-0, defeating Al-Shabab thanks to Joao Pedro’s second-half penalty, despite seeing just 36% possession.

That said, the Wolves have been wildly inconsistent on home soil of late, recording four wins, three draws and five defeats in their last 12 home league games.

Al-Taawoun have not registered back-to-back home league victories since October, underlining their inconsistency in front of their own fans.

It is also worth noting that 10 of the Wolves’ 16 home league games have produced over 2.5 goals, with both teams scoring on nine occasions.

As for Al-Ettifaq, they claimed a hugely impressive 5-0 victory over Al-Ittihad in their previous away game, with Karl Toko Ekambi netting a hat-trick.

The result means that Gerrard’s men have lost just one of their last six away league outings, recording three wins and two draws in the process.

When you look at the bigger picture, Al-Ettifaq have suffered only three defeats in their previous 11 away league games, with two of those losses coming by a single goal.

Having scored 12 goals across their past six away league outings (2 goals per game), Gerrard’s side will be confident of notching another positive result.

Head-to-head: Al-Taawoun have lost just one of their last seven league meetings with Al-Ettifaq, securing four victories along the way.

It is also worth remembering that six of their previous seven meetings have produced over 1.5 goals, with three of those clashes serving up over 2.5 goals.

Team news: Al-Taawoun's injury list features Rakan Al-Tulayhi, Mateus, Andrei Girotto, Adbulfattah Adam and Mohammed Mahzari.

On the flip side, Al-Ettifaq will be without injured winger Demarai Gray. Still, they can call upon stars like Seko Fofana, Moussa Dembele and Georginio Wijnaldum.
