Villarreal and Valencia look set to make a thrilling game this weekend in La Liga, so Forebet looks at all the latest trends and the probability of a win in these football predictions from the latest data.

Villarreal have massively turned their form around since a loss to Valencia at the start of 2024.

In that game, Gerard Moreno got back amongst the goals, but two penalties from Pepelu and a goal from Roman Yaremchuk gave Valencia a 3-1 win.

Although they were stunned on penalties by Unionistasin the Copa del Rey shortly after and beaten by Las Palmas in La Liga, the club have not lost on the domestic front since the turn of February.

This run even includes a stunning 5-3 win away to Barcelona, as five different goalscorers got in on the act for Villarreal, which saw a goal in the 99th and 102nd minutes of the game.

Draws against Cadiz, Getafe and Deportivo Alaves all came in soon after, but a 5-1 battering at home to Granada and a fantastic 3-1 win away to Real Sociedad got Villarreal right back in the win column.

They have also managed to beat Real Betis 3-2 in Seville this month, but Alberto Moreno was sent off that day and now misses out.

Alexander Sorloth got back amongst the goals that day, alongside a finish from Alex Baena, as Sorloth also bagged in the 3-1 win in the Europa League over Marseille. In truth, Villarreal probably should have gone through in the end, despite losing 4-0 in France in the first leg.

The La Liga side had 25 shots that day and were 3-0 up by the 85th minute but couldn’t find that fourth goal before Marseille scored.

Valencia have also managed to turn things around in 2024 and are now eighth and only three points behind the Europa Conference League spot of sixth. This comes after a 1-0 home win over Getafe where Hugo Duro scored the winning goal.

Valencia did also get a commendable draw at home to the league leaders Real Madrid before this, as Duro and Yaremchuk netted more goals, despite seeing only 29% of the ball.

As Valencia are not in Europe and out at the round of 16 stage in the Copa del Rey, they have only played out five games since the end of January.

Now, Forebet predicts a draw and under 2.5 goals
