Can Luton Edge Closer Out of Relegation and Shake Up the Top 4 by Beating Villa?
2623

Another Premier League gameweek is here after some interesting FA Cup battles and the EFL Cup final last time out.

As per the usual, Forebet has grouped together the trends, data, analysis, football predictions and mathematics for the game between Luton Town and Aston Villa.

Luton have a chance to shake up the top four battle this weekend with Villa still narrowly ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.

However, they are firstly concerned about their own relegation battle, while the Hatters also head into this one after a stunning loss to Manchester City during the week.

Erling Haaland ran riot at Kenilworth Road with his five goals that day that included a first half hat-trick. Jordan Clark scored twice for Luton in that game, including a fantastic finish for the first goal.

With them out of the FA Cup now, all attention falls on their hopes of getting out of the relegation zone, but, however, there is no chance of them being able to do so in this game, as Nottingham Forest have a four-point gap on them, while Everton are now five clear too after their points tally added on a few more points to rocket them out of the bottom three.

The Hatters come into this game having now lost 15 times in the league after a 4-1 battering from Liverpool at Anfield.

This also saw them extend their losing run to four games after losing to City, which even includes a stunning home loss to the record-breaking last-placed Sheffield United.

On the other hand, Luton still have four goals to boast off at St. James' Park in a thrilling 4-4 draw, as they even smashed Brighton & Hove Albion 4-0 in late January.

Luton have, however, already also lost to Luton after John McGinn and Moussa Diaby scored goals alongside an own goal from Tom Lockyear. Villa's keeper, Emi Martinez, also scored an own goal that game for Luton.

Villa beat Nottingham Forest last time out in the Premier League, and after losing to Manchester United and Chelsea in the league and FA Cup, respectively, at the start of February, the club are now on a two-game winning run after also defeating Fulham.

Unai Emery’s men sit above Spurs in fifth by five points and they are also above United in sixth by eight. In fact, they are only six behind Arsenal in third. Forebet predicts a win for Villa and over 2.5 goals.
