Liverpool are the Premier League’s top scoring team, with 59 goals. The Reds are aiming for a third straight win, but will our algorithm predict them to score goals and take all three points against Luton Town?

On Wednesday night, Jurgen Klopp’s team will face Luton at Anfield. With Liverpool playing in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday against Chelsea, their league game with Luton was pushed forward.

Liverpool will start the game in first place and two points ahead of Arsenal. The Reds are four points ahead of Manchester City, in an exciting three-horse race for the Premier League title.

Luton, on the other hand, are fighting against relegation. They took just 20 points from their 24 matches in the league. The Hatters are coming off a 2-1 loss to Manchester United at Kenilworth Road. It was their second straight defeat.

Rob Edwards’ team won just one of their last six games in the league. A total of five points was taken from those six matches.

Luton Town conceded five times in their last two league matches and now face the league’s top scoring side on the road.

Anfield has been a fortress for Liverpool this term. Thirty-two of their 57 points have come at home. Liverpool’s record at Anfield is 10W-2D-0L, with 33 goals for and 10 goals against.

Playing at Anfield could be the difference in the title race. Liverpool still have to play Man City and Tottenham, with both games coming at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah is back from a hamstring injury and should start against Luton. The winger scored and assisted a goal against Brentford at the weekend after coming on as a substitute.

Despite Salah being back, Klopp has several injury problems to contend with. Diogo Jota is out with a knee injury and is expected to miss two months of football. Curtis Jones is also nursing a leg injury.

Goalkeeper Alisson will sit out as well following a hamstring injury. Caoimhin Kelleher will start for a third straight league match versus Luton.

Although Luton are unbeaten in their last three road fixtures, they have a poor record away from home of 2W-3D-6L. Luton scored 15 goals and conceded 25 in their 11 away fixtures.

Liverpool may be in the midst of an injury crisis, yet the club continues to score goals. Our score prediction for Wednesday’s clash is for a Liverpool 3-0 win over Luton.

Luton may have got a point at home versus the Reds earlier this season, but they will get nothing at Anfield.
