Can Villa Get Back on Track With Their 15 League Win of the Season Against Fulham?

Two teams in topsy-turvy form clash in the Premier League, so Forebet is here to check out all the latest in analysis, football predictions, data, mathematics and trends for the game between Aston Villa and Fulham.

Villa’s fantastic season has been shaken a little recently after a 3-1 to both Newcastle United and Chelsea at Villa Park, the latter being in the FA Cup.

What’s more, the in-form Douglas Luiz looked to have also got a point against Manchester United last weekend, but a late finish by Scott McTominay won it for the away side - this now means three home losses in a row for Unai Emery’s side.

Villa have still put together a decent run of form away from home, however, drawing 0-0 draw with Everton at Goodison Park three weeks ago.

Villa then destroyed Sheffield United 5-0 at Bramall Lane, as Youri Tielemans, Leon Bailey, Watkins and John McGinn all bagged a first half goal before Alex Morono added a fifth in the second 45.

This puts Emery’s men in fifth, although it does still put the former Arsenal boss just one point behind Tottenham Hotspur in fourth place, although five points behind Man United in fourth now.

Fulham have had a poor season after impressing last time out, but this dull form was parked last weekend with a 3-1 win over Bournemouth.

Rodrigo Muniz netted twice in that game with Bobby Decordova-Reid also scoring.

This ended a poor run of six games without a win for Fulham after beating Rotherham United in the FA Cup third round at home back in January.

In fact, it was also the club’s first Premier League win since edging past Arsenal 2-1 on New Year's Eve.

On the other hand, despite the poor run in 2024, Fulham are still within only four points of their west London rivals Chelsea as a result of their win over Bournemouth and also 10 clear of the bottom three, despite losing to Chelsea three weeks ago.

In terms of injuries, Calvin Bassey has returned from Africa Cup of Nations duty, but Alex Iowbi has been granted time off after Nigeria’s loss in the final last Sunday. Dibley-Dias and Raul Jimenez are both set to miss out here.

Vill are still without season-long absentees, Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia, but Diego Carlos and Jhon Duran are close to returning. Boubacar Kamara and Konsa Ngoyo will be a few more weeks, however.

Forebet predicts a win for Villa and under 2.5 goals.
