Manchester City will continue their pursuit of a fourth successive Premier League title when struggling Chelsea visit the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

With a game in hand on their title rivals, Pep Guardiola’s side find themselves second in the table – two points behind Liverpool and 18 points above tenth-placed Chelsea.

In the reverse fixture, the two sides played out a crazy 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge. What will happen this time around? Read on to discover what Forebet’s predictive analytics model expects.

Manchester City head into Saturday’s showdown on the back of a 3-1 victory over Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League round of 16.

Guardiola’s men have now won each of their last 11 matches across all competitions, scoring 32 goals in the process (2.9 goals per game).

In the Premier League, the defending champions have lost just one of their previous 15 games to remain within touching distance of Liverpool at the summit of the standings.

Trends also show that Man City are enjoying a 38-game unbeaten streak on home soil, with a solitary defeat coming in their last 50 matches at the Etihad.

Chelsea, meanwhile, claimed a 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace last time out, with Conor Gallagher and Enzo Fernandez scoring injury-time goals to down the Eagles.

Despite enduring an inconsistent campaign up to now, the Blues appear to have found some form of late, losing just three of their last 11 games across all competitions.

It is also worth noting that Mauricio Pochettino’s men have won nine of their previous 14 encounters, scoring over 2.5 goals in five of those victories.

That said, Chelsea’s defensive stats are a cause for concern, as they have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 11 away outings across all competitions.

Head-to-head: The H2H statistics do not look pretty for the Blues, as they have lost six of their previous seven meetings with Man City.

In the Premier League, Chelsea have managed to win just one of their last seven games against City, with only two victories coming in their previous 10.

Team news: Man City’s Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva are doubts after both picking up knocks in midweek, while Josko Gvardiol is sidelined with an ankle injury.

Chelsea’s lengthy injury list features Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Romeo Lavia, Marc Cucurella, Robert Sanchez and Lesly Ugochukwu.

Pochettino’s men showed great spirit and resilience to hold Man City in the reverse fixture, but they will struggle to replicate that performance at the Etihad.

Forebet’s algorithm predicts that Manchester City will ease past Chelsea on Saturday, scoring over 2.5 goals on their way to victory.
