Salernitana are sitting rock bottom of the Serie A table right now and come into this match without a win in the past six games in all competitions.

Five of those matches have been losses, as they managed to draw 0-0 with Torino in Turin last time out.

As for Empoli, their run has been a little better as of late, as they managed to defeat Monza thanks to a stunning hat-trick from Szymon Zurkowski.

Empoli drew 0-0 with Genoa in their last outing after also getting a commendable draw away to the title-chasing Juventus before that with Tommazo Baldanzi scoring in the second half.

Empoli have two more wins on the board than Salernitana in Serie A with four victories, although they have the worst goals scored record with only 15 netted throughout the 23 games in the league.

The other wins for them have seen three points collected in a stunning 1-0 win away to Napoli and a 2-0 trip to Florence against the high-flying Fiorentina.

The other win was in the reverse fixture between Empoli and Salernitana on matchday six, as Baldanzi was back amongst the goals in a 1-0 win. However, Forebet now predicts a draw and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
