Lazio and Feyenoord keep up their hopes of a spot in the Champions League knockout rounds this Tuesday evening with a battle in the Italian capital just two weeks on from the Eredivisie giants smashing the Rome outfit.
Feyenoord won 3-1 in the last meeting between these two sides in a game that saw them take a 3-0 lead at one stage.
Santiago Gimenez scored a goal in either half that day, as Ramiz Zerrouki also scored in the first 45. Pedro would score from the spot late on in a 3-1 win.
Feyenoord have gone on to win one of their games since then and now remain in third spot in the Eredivisie. This also puts them on four wins in five games where they have let in just three goals, as they also defeated Zwolle and Vitesse before the win over Lazio.
The other games in the Champions League for Feyenoord have seen them defeat Celtic 2-0 with goals from Calvin Stengs and Alireza Jahanbakhsh scoring a goal each. The other match saw them lose to Atletico Madrid in a 3-2 loss after a goal from David Hancko.
They now sit top of Group E with two wins and one loss on the board from three matches, while they have also scored seven times and let in four goals.
A loss here, however, could send them into third with two games to go, should Atletico beat Celtic.
Back in the Eredivisie, the Dutch champions have defeated Ajax 4-0 in recent weeks too and now sit with eight wins from 11 games but behind the relentless PSV Eindhoven by seven points.
Lazio's terrible form this season continued last weekend when they lost 1-0 to Bologna on Friday night.
They did manage to defeat Fiorentina 1-0 before that with a finish from the penalty spot in the 95th minute, but that was just their fifth win of the season in Serie A. In fact, they've also lost five games too and scored just 13 goals and let in 13 too.
In the Champions League, Lazio have also defeated Celtic with a goal in the 95th minute from Pedro, as Matias Vecino also scored in the 29th minute of the game to equalise at the time. Maurizio Sarri’s men have also lost to Feyenoord and drawn with Atletico 1-1.
Forebet predicts a win for Lazio and for the game to see over 2.5 goals in Rome.
