Two sides sitting outside of the top half will battle in the Bundesliga this weekend with Darmstadt welcoming Werder Bremen to the Stadion am Böllenfalltor as the newly-promoted side sit down in 17th ahead of this one.
Darmstadt are one of five teams still yet to win a game in the Bundesliga this season, and alongside their four defeats so far, the club are sitting in the relegation zone after their promotion back into the top flight of German football.
The club met with Stuttgart last time out, and even in the 3-1 loss, the club failed to score a goal of their own from one of their own players, as an own goal brought the game to a 3-1 win for Stuttgart.
Prior to this, the club managed to get their only point of the season on the board with a stunning 3-3 draw at home to Borussia Monchengladbach.
Marvin Mehlem and Matej Maglica scored a goal each inside the first 10 minutes of the game before Tim Starke scored in the first half too.
However, despite leading the game 3-0, Darmstadt completely fell apart in the second half, conceding three goals after Maglica was sent off just 20 minutes after he scored the second goal of the game.
Further losses this season have seen Darmstadt suffer a 5-1 battering from Bayer Leverkusen and a 4-1 hammering from Union Berlin, with the latter coming on home soil.
Eintracht Frankfurt have also defeated the club this season, and with a loss to FC Homburg, Darmstadt were one of four clubs to suffer a loss in the DFB-Pokal first round.
As for Bremen, they returned to the win column last time out with a 2-1 victory over Koln that saw Rafael Santos Borré Maury score before a winner from Justin Nijnmah in a comeback win.
Despite the recent win, Bremen are still sitting in 11th of the Bundesliga and have secured only two wins and registered three defeats so far. The club have also let in 10 goals and scored only eight of their own.
The other win for Bremen has seen them defeat Mainz in a sensational performance where they won 4-0.
Marvin Ducksch scored from the penalty spot that day, as Jens Stage, Leonardo Bittencourt and Nijnmah scored a goal each.
Forebet predicts a high-scoring game in this one and for Darmstadt to win and over 2.5 goals once again.
