Will West Ham Keep up Their Excellent Start Against the Winless Sheffield
2266

Sheffield United will look to move on from their heaviest-ever Premier League defeat when they meet with West Ham United on Saturday as the Hammers head into this one after a return to the win column in midweek.

Sheffield United were on the opposite end of a stunning game that saw Newcastle score eight times with eight different goalscorers in the game.

The first goal came in the 21st minute and Newcastle scored a goal every 14 minutes thereafter in what was easily the most stunning game of the Premier League campaign so far.

In the last game before their incredible 8-0 defeat to Newcastle. Sheffield United also fell to a 2-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur with the club seeing Oli McBurnie sent off in the dying embers of the match after two goals inside two minutes during stoppage time for Spurs.

Gustavo Hamer did score for the Blades that day to give them the lead in the second half.

Further defeats this season have seen Sheffield United lose to Manchester City 2-1 and also suffer losses at the hands of Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.

Worse yet, the club was also knocked out of the EFL Cup at the second round stage to Lincoln City with a 0-0 game seeing them knocked out on penalties in the end.

As for West Ham, it’s been a sensational start to the season where they were expected to fight relegation for the most part.

What’s more, after a midweek victory over the side that defeated the Blades in the League Cup, Lincoln, the Hammers are into the next round of the EFL Cup and off to a winning start in Europe too.

Tomas Soucek scored the winning goal against the League One outfit in the midweek battle, and he also scored against Backa Topola in the Europa League last Thursday. However, last weekend, Liverpool ran out 3-1 winners over the club.

Sheffield United also see their terrible form coupled with a bunch of injuries, as George Baldock, William Daugaard Osula and Rhys Norrington-Davies are all ruled out for this match. Rhian Brewster is nearing a return but not quite ready to do so in this one.

Max Lowe, Ben Osborn and Gustavo Hamer are all facing late fitness tests for this match while Oliver McBurnie can return after his one-match suspension. Daniel Jebbison and John Fleck are ruled out.

Forebet predicts a win for West Ham and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
