Arsenal looking for a third straight win over Bournemouth in the league

Arsenal went unbeaten in their last six matches versus Bournemouth in all competitions. Last season, the Gunners defeated Bournemouth by a combined score of 6-2.

On Saturday, Arsenal will visit Bournemouth at Dean Court. Mikel Arteta’s team is fifth in the standings after dropping points a week ago against Tottenham in a 2-2 draw. Arsenal are four points off first-place Manchester City ahead of round No. 7.

Bournemouth have not won a match this season. They are one of four teams not to win a match this season. The club’s dismissal of Gary O’Neil and hiring of Andoni Iraola has not worked out.

The Cherries took just three points from 18 points on offer this term. They were outscored 11-5 by opponents.

Arsenal, on the other hand, scored 11 goals and conceded six times in their opening six matches.

Iraola could be without six players for Arsenal’s arrival on Saturday. Lloyd Kelly and Chris Mepham are already ruled out of the game.

Alex Scott is out with a knee injury and Emi Marcondes will miss the game with an ankle injury.

Ryan Fredericks has a calf injury that will keep him sidelined for the game. Midfielder Tyler Adams is still recovering from a hamstring injury which was suffered last term.

Arteta could also have six players out of action. Midfielder Thomas Partey is out with a groin injury. Gabriel Martinelli is a doubt following a thigh strain.

Leandro Trossard could be fit following a thigh injury. Declan Rice and Bakayo Saka are both in a race to be fit for the game.

Meanwhile, Jurrien Timber is ruled out with a knee injury.

Saka leads Arsenal in goals this season with three in six matches. However, only one of those goals came from open play, with two scored from the penalty spot. He is a doubt after Arteta's midweek press conference.

One of the big questions surrounding Arsenal is which goalkeeper will start the match. David Raya played against Tottenham but conceded two goals. Aaron Ramsdale could start the match instead of Raya.

Bournemouth have not scored many goals this season. But striker Dominic Solanke leads the way in scoring with three goals.

He scored 60% of Bournemouth’s goals to open the campaign.

Arsenal won both matches in the league against Bournemouth last term and should pick up another victory over the Cherries this weekend.

The Gunners should win 2-0 and keep pressure on Man City at the top of the table.
