Inter looking to maintain their perfect Serie A start against Sassuolo

On Wednesday night, Serie A leaders Internazionale host Sassuolo as the Nerazzurri look to maintain their unbeaten start to the league campaign in Italy’s top flight.

The Nerazzurri continued their perfect start to the Italian top-flight campaign last time out by recording a narrow 1-0 win at Empoli.
Not only did the win mean that Simone Inzaghi’s team was six games unbeaten in all competitions this season, but it also meant that the men from Milan have now won their last seven matches in Serie A dating back to last season.
One of the key facets of Inter’s game of late in the Italian top-flight has been their solid defensive displays, as Inter has kept clean sheets in four of their five Serie A games this season.
Inter’s home form has also played a part in their strong start to the new league campaign, as the Nerazzurri has recorded six straight home wins in Serie A since April.
Sassuolo
The Neroverdi has made an inconsistent start to the league campaign, as Alessio Dionisi’s team has won two and lost three of their five matches in Serie A.
Last time out, Sassuolo recorded an impressive 4-2 home win over Juventus. The game saw the visitors score at least two goals for the third straight match in the Italian top-flight.
However, on the flip side, Sassuolo has also conceded at least two goals in eight of their last nine matches in Serie A dating back to last season.
Sassuolo have been poor travellers of late in Serie A, as the Neroverdi has failed to win in seven away matches, having suffered six defeats in the poor run.
