Barcelona Aiming for a Fourth Win in a Row Against Betis
2089

Barcelona are back at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys this weekend with the club aiming to stay unbeaten after four games with Real Betis up next after the away side’s narrow win over Rayo Vallecano.

The champions of Spain regained their title with a healthy points gap over rivals Real Madrid last time out, but by drawing with Getafe on the opening weekend, Barcelona trail Madrid by two points after the first few games.

Raphinha was also sent off that day but is now able to play.

Xavi's men played hosts to Cadiz in the second game, and with 10 shots on target and 75% of the ball, Pedri finally managed to break the deadlock with a goal late in the second half.

Ferran Torres also scored that day with a goal in the 94th minute.

Torres netted in the following game in a win over Villarreal that saw Barcelona have 11 shots on target and lead the game 2-0 after 15 minutes as Gavi and Frenkie de Jong scored.

Robert Lewandowski also got off the mark that day after winning the top scorer award last season.

The Polish striker scored again the following game with a penalty conversion late in the match, as Jules Kounde scored his first goal of the season in that 2-1 win.

As for Betis, they head into this one down in seventh and with just one loss on the board. Last time out, however, they managed to edge out a narrow win over Rayo Vallecano with a finish from Willian Jose.

This was Betis’ first win in two games, having drawn 0-0 with Atletico Madrid before that.

The Seville outfit also lost to Athletic Club after that draw with Atletico, despite taking a 2-0 lead after a finish each from Willian Jose and Isco inside the first 10 minutes.

Four goals soon after for Bilbao won it in the end, but nevertheless, it has still been a positive start to the season for the club.

Europa League action is also over the horizon for Betis with a match against Rangers next Thursday as a result of finishing sixth last time out.

The other victory this season has seen Betis defeat Villarreal with a 95th-minute winner from Willian Jose, as Ayoze Perez got off the mark for the season with a goal in the first half too.

Forebet predicts a win for Barcelona and over 2.5 goals.
