West Ham United and Manchester City will put their unbeaten records on the line when they face off in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The two sides are separated by only a couple of points in the table, with fourth-placed West Ham trailing frontrunners Man City.

Can Pep Guardiola’s side make it five wins from five this season? Or will David Moyes’ men upset the odds in front of their fans at the London Stadium?

West Ham started their season with a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth before going on to rack up three consecutive wins.

After defeating Chelsea 3-1, the Hammers beat Brighton & Hove Albion by the same scoreline before claiming a 2-1 victory at Luton Town last time out.

As a result, West Ham are one of six Premier League teams yet to taste defeat in 2023-24, having taken 10 points from a possible 12 so far.

Better still, only three teams have scored more goals than Moyes’ men this term, while only two sides have conceded fewer goals.

Manchester City, on the other hand, have won all four of their league encounters this season, scoring 11 goals while conceding on just two occasions.

Following a 3-0 victory over Burnley on the opening weekend, the defending champions defeated Newcastle United 1-0 before beating Sheffield United 2-1.

Prior to the international break, Guardiola’s side thrashed Fulham 5-1, with Erling Haaland netting a hat-trick in the rout.

Haaland has already scored six goals in four Premier League outings this season, taking his tally for Man City to 58 goals in 59 appearances across all competitions.

Head-to-head: West Ham have failed to win any of their last 15 Premier League meetings with Man City, suffering 12 defeats in the process.

During that period, Guardiola’s men have scored over 1.5 goals on 13 occasions, keeping seven clean sheets for good measure.

Team news: West Ham could be without Vladimir Coufal this weekend as the Czech right-back is currently nursing a knock.

As for Man City, Kevin De Bruyne remains sidelined with a thigh injury, while John Stones, Jack Grealish and Mateo Kovacic are doubts for Saturday.

Although West Ham have made a strong start to the season, their unbeaten streak will likely come to an end when Man City visit the London Stadium.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score on Saturday, but Manchester City are expected to outscore West Ham United.
