Brentford to Heap More Worries Onto Bournemouth With a Home Win
3739

Brentford welcome Bournemouth to London this weekend with the two sides head into this game in very contrasting bouts of form in the league with the Cherries still winless after another defeat last time out.

Bournemouth did, however, manage to head through to the next round of the EFL Cup during the week with a win over Swansea City that saw the club fall 1-0 down early on but come back to lead 2-1 after goals from David Brooks and Hamed Traore.

Ryan Christie would steal the game in the end with a finish in the 91st minute of the game as he scored the winning goal with the 21st shot for Bournemouth and the eighth on target.

Back in the Premier League, Andoni Iraola remains winless with two losses and a draw after losing to Tottenham Hotspur in a convincing win last time out for the Lilywhites. Liverpool would then defeat them 3-1, although the Cherries did take the lead after three minutes through Antoine Semenyo.

On the opening weekend, Bournemouth would draw with West Ham United in a 1-1 draw at home with Dominic Solanke bagging late on in the game to steal a point.

This does mean the club have scored five goals in four games still, so despite winning only one game in all competitions, they have still put in decent numbers in some regard. What's more, travelling to Anfield and playing hosts to Spurs is not exactly an easy start for any side.

As for Brentford, they are unbeaten so far in all competitions, but like Bournemouth they are sitting with just one win so far in the 2023/24 season in regular time after edging past League Two's Newport County on penalties during the week.

Mathius Jensen scored that day before Newport missed all three penalties.

In the Premier League, Brentford managed to draw with Crystal Palace last weekend with an early goal from Kevin Schade.

However, their best performance of the season and only win so far came on a stunning 3-0 win away to Fulham where Bryan Mbeumo scored his second and third goal of the season after Yoane Wissa netted in the first half.

Back on opening weekend, Wissa and Mbuemo would score again, as two first half goals was enough for Brentford to snatch a point at home to Spurs with them also letting in two first half goals.

Forebet predicts a win for Brentford and for the game to see over 2.5 goals
