Werder Bremen and Bayern München will kick off the Bundesliga action this weekend with a clash at the Weser Stadium as the champions make the trip across Germany with Harry Kane set to start for the first time for his new club.

Kane’s move from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern stunned the continent this summer transfer window with the Englishman leaving the Premier League side in pursuit of silverware for the first time in his career.

However, Kane got off to the worst possible start as he failed to once again get his hands on a trophy when Bayern lost the DFL-Supercup to RB Leipzig on home soil in a stunning 3-0 defeat.

The England captain did come on in the second half that day and was not really involved in the game, but he should get his first start in this match.

Last season, Kane miraculously managed to bag 30 Premier League goals for a Spurs side that finished eighth, and Bayern fans will be ecstatic to know they have finally replaced the legendary Robert Lewandowski up top.

Bayern also had a positive time during preseason with them beating Liverpool and Monaco this month alongside a narrow victory over Kawasaki.

They will, however, need to improve on things this season after only managing to win the Bundesliga on goals difference after Borussia Dortmund lost on the final day of the season at home to Mainz.

Bayern would score 92 times from the 34 games and also let in 38 goals too with them managing to win one less game than Dortmund with 21 on the board, although the champions lost just five games.

As for Werder Bremen, it was once again another struggle in the 2022/23 season, although they did manage to avoid relegation after facing the drop two seasons back.

Nevertheless, they still ended up in 13th with only 10 wins on the board and 18 defeats.

The club would score 51 times and let in 64 - only Bochum and Hertha Berlin let in more.

Bremen have also got their season off to a shocking start too, just like Bayern.

The club headed to Cologne to meet with Viktoria Koln and after taking a 1-0 lead in the DFB-Pokal through Marvin Ducksch, they ended up losing 3-2 after a finish in the 94th minute from Koln. Niclas Fullkrug managed to score yet again that day.

Forebet predicts a win for Bayern and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
