KuPS aiming for sixth straight win over VPS in all competitions

Finland Veikkausliiga leader KuPS will host VPS on Saturday, as they looking for a second straight league win. The Canaries are three points clear of second-placed HJK ahead of round No 16.
VPS find themselves at the bottom of the Veikkausliiga table after 13 matches. They have games in hand over the teams above them in the table but must begin to pick up more points to have any chance of survival.
The Stripes picked up just nine points from their opening 13 games. They are coming off a 3-0 home win over Inter Turku, which ended a five-game losing streak.
KuPS dominated the last five games against VPS, winning all five matches. The Canaries outscored VPS 13-2 across the last five meetings. VPS failed to score in their last two games versus KuPS.

KuPS manager Jani Honkavaara has no new injuries to worry about ahead of round No 16. Nisslia signed from Suwon FC in the offseason.
He currently leads KuPS in goals with six. He is tied for the fourth-most goals in the Veikkausliiga this season.
VPS manager Jussi Nuorela will likely deploy the team in a 3-4-1-2 formation. Striker Roni Hudd leads the team in goals with three this term. He has tallied one-third of VPS’s goals.
Hudd also has one assist this term. If KuPS can shut down the striker, it could be a long day for VPS.
KuPS are on a five-game winning streak against VPS in all competitions ahead of Saturday’s match.
The Canaries should post a 1-0 win and continue their league-leading form in the Veikkausliiga. Nisslia could get on the scoresheet once more.
