The Venezuelan Primera Division meets with the Argentine Primera Division this Thursday with Boca Juniors and Monagas set to clash in the final Copa Libertadores matchday that sees both sides able to qualify in Group F.
Boca Juniors are already into the knockout stages from this group after winning three games, losing one and drawing the other.
This has also seen them score five times and let in just two goals with 10 points on the board.
Last time out in the Copa Libertadores, they managed to defeat Colo-Colo of Chile with a second half goal from Marcelo Weigandt in the 1-0 victory.
They did, however, lose to second-placed Deportivo Pereira before that and a month on from beating Pereira.
Boca Juniors have also beaten Colo-Colo 2-0 in Group F with Luis Advincula scoring alongside a goal from Sebastian Villa.
In their win over Pereira, Advincula scored once more before a winner in the 99th minute of the game from Alan Varela.
Boca Juniors' only draw in this group came in the first meeting with Monagas, as the game ended 0-0 after two red cards for the Argentinian giants - it was Bruno Valdez and Facundo Roncaglia who were sent off that day.
Despite being top of Group F, Boca Juniors are heading into this one in terrible form in the league and without a win in three games.
Arsenal Sarandi - who sit in last place - defeated them 1-0 four weeks ago before a 1-1 draw with Lanus.
Last weekend, Godoy Cruz managed to defeat them 4-0 and it leaves the club 14th in the league in what is turning out to be one of their worst-ever seasons in the Argentine Primera Division.
Things are not going much better for Monages, as they sit 10th in the Venezuelan Primera Division after a 2-0 defeat to Caracas.
They are, however, coming into the final group stage game knowing they can finish in the top two spots if they win and Pereira lose.
Monagas did beat Pereira in the last game as well after nine shots on target from 21 efforts and a first half penalty from Edanyilber Navas during the 1-0 win.
Prior to this, the club failed to win their past three games in the Copa Libertadores after losses to Pereira and Colo-Colo and another draw with the latter. Forebet now predicts a win for Boca Juniors and under 2.5 goals in the game
