On Saturday night, Latvia and Turkey clash at the Stadions Skonto in Group D of qualifying for Euro 2024.

Latvia

Dainis Kazakevics’ team made a losing start to their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, suffering a 1-0 defeat in Wales. The result means that Latvia has failed to win any of their previous six games over 90 minutes.

The defeat in Cardiff was another low-scoring game, as four of their last five international outings have produced under 2.5 goals.

Latvia have a woeful recent qualifying record, as they have recorded just one win in their last 22 matches. A lack of goals has been their main problem lately, as they have failed to score in eight of their previous ten qualifiers.

A 1-0 home win over Austria in their last home qualifier ended a nine-game winless streak on home soil in qualifying.

Turkey

A good run of international form ended for Turkey last time out, as they suffered a 2-0 home defeat by Croatia.

The defeat ended a promising three-game winning run for the visitors in the international game while ending a good scoring run, as Turkey had scored at least two goals in each of the three straight victories.

The visitor's outings have not been short of goals of late, as their last 15 international matches have all produced at least two goals.

Turkey has enjoyed mixed fortunes in Group D of qualifying, as they have won one and lost one of their two outings in their quest for qualifying for Euro 2024.

However, with the group being in its nascent stage, they are just a point off the top of the standings.
