Brighton Could be in the Europa League Spot With a Win Over Everton
5489

Brighton & Hove Albion are within touching distance of the Europa League after a sensational win against Manchester United last time out with the club set to welcome strugglers Everton to the AMEX.

Everton remain in the bottom three ahead of this game with the club sitting adrift of Leeds United in 17th by one point with four games left to play.

After losing to Newcastle United last Thursday and drawing 2-2 with Leicester City on Monday, it now means the club have not won since beating Brentford at the start of March.

The draw with the Foxes was Sean Dyche's best chance yet to move out of the drop zone and pull Leicester into it as a result. It was a thrilling game, and the Toffees took the lead through a Dominic Calvert-Lewin penalty before Alex Iwobi equalised in the second half.

Brighton scored a penalty in the 99th minute against United on Thursday after Alexis Mac Allister netted from the spot. It has brought them to within four points of the top five now and with two games extra to play.

Simply put, should Brighton win their two games in hand and this game here, the club will all but have a Europa League spot confirmed.

The Seagulls also smashed Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-0 last weekend at home, as they also lost to Nottingham Forest just before that.

Everton are heading into this game with key injuries to deal with. Andros Townsend is getting closer to returning after a long period out, but he is still not going to play this season. Ruben Vinagre is also out for this one, while Dele Alli is unlikely to feature before the end of the season since returning from Besiktas.

Ben Godfrey likely misses the rest of the season too, and Seamus Coleman has avoided an ACL injury but is still set to face weeks on the sidelines.

Brighton are coming into this one with even more injuries and they will see Pascal Gross and Evan Ferguson face late fitness tests after spells out on the sidelines. Joel Veltman is nearing a return alongside Adam Lallana, but the two are unlikely to feature in this one.

Jakub Moder is also ruled out in this game and Jeremy Sarmiento is also set to be out for the rest of the season.

Forebet predicts a win for Brighton and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
