Juventus will be looking to continue their ascent of the Serie A table when they face Bologna at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Sunday evening.
Having seen their 15-point deduction overturned, Juventus find themselves third in the standings – two points behind second-placed Napoli and three points inside the top four.
Bologna, on the other hand, occupy eighth place – 10 points shy of the top six and 15 points behind Juventus.
Despite racking up 17 shots while enjoying 74% possession, Bologna suffered a 2-1 defeat at Hellas Verona last time out.
It is worth noting, however, that Bologna have lost just one of their last six league matches, picking up two wins and three draws before falling to Verona.
Better still, Bologna have only suffered three defeats in their previous 14 Serie A encounters, securing seven victories to cement their place in the top half of the table.
Although Bologna have lost just one of their last seven home league games, they will struggle to avoid defeat against Juventus.
That said, Juventus have struggled for form in recent weeks, managing to win only one of their previous six matches across all competitions.
Max Allegri’s men have also suffered three successive Serie A defeats, losing to Lazio and Sassuolo before suffering a 1-0 defeat at table-topping Napoli last time out.
When you look at the bigger picture, though, Juventus have won seven of their past 11 league outings, keeping five clean sheets in the process.
In fact, Juve have won 18 of their 31 Serie A games this season, meaning only Napoli have claimed more victories in 2022-23.
Head-to-head: Juventus have avoided defeat in each of their last 21 league meetings with Bologna, winning six straight matches at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
To make matters worse for Bologna, they have only managed to win one of their previous 37 Serie A matches against the Old Lady.
Team news: Bologna will be without injured midfielder Roberto Soriano on Sunday, while Andrea Cambiaso, Marko Arnautovic and Nicola Bagnolini are doubts.
On the flip side, Juventus forward Moise Kean remains sidelined due to a muscle injury, while Kaio Jorge is a doubt for Sunday’s clash.
When you couple the 15-point gulf between these two sides with Juve’s remarkable record in this fixture, all the signs point towards an away win here.
Forebet predicts that Juventus will score over 1.5 goals on their way to defeating Bologna, while the visitors are also expected to keep a clean sheet.
