Crystal Palace will look to extend their unbeaten run under Roy Hodgson when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Tuesday night.
Thanks to a marked upturn since Hodgson’s return, the Eagles find themselves 12th in the Premier League table – nine points clear of the relegation zone.
As for Wolves, they sit three points behind Crystal Palace in 14th place, although Julen Lopetegui’s men remain just six points outside the bottom three.
Despite going ahead thanks to Matheus Cunha’s 13th-minute strike, Wolves suffered a 2-1 defeat at Leicester City last time out.
The Wanderers dominated large spells of the contest, racking up 16 shots while enjoying 59% possession. However, they failed to hold onto their lead.
Wolves enjoyed a three-game unbeaten run prior to Saturday’s loss, with a draw against Nottingham Forest preceding victories over Chelsea and Brentford.
Having lost four of their previous eight league outings, though, Lopetegui and his players must continue to pick up points in order to steer clear of the drop zone.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace were held to a goalless draw by Everton at the weekend, despite enjoying the lion’s share of possession on home soil.
The Eagles remain unbeaten since Hodgson’s return, however, having defeated Leicester, Leeds United and Southampton before drawing with the Toffees.
Palace endured a 12-game winless run in the Premier League between January and March, leading to the sacking of Patrick Vieira.
But with Hodgson back at the helm, the Eagles look destined to avoid relegation and could continue to climb the table between now and the end of the campaign.
Head-to-head: Crystal Palace have won each of their last four league meetings with Wolves, keeping three clean sheets in the process.
When you look at the bigger picture, Wolves have managed to win just four of their previous 14 matches against the Eagles in all competitions.
Team news: Wolves are still without long-term injury absentee Sasa Kalajdzic, while Boubacar Traore and Mario Lemina are doubts for Tuesday’s clash.
On the flip side, Crystal Palace will be without Nathan Ferguson for the trip to Wolves, while Wilfried Zaha and Nathaniel Clyne are doubts.
When you couple Palace’s form under Hodgson with their strong recent record against Wolves, all the signs point towards an away victory on Tuesday.
Forebet predicts that in-form Crystal Palace will score over 1.5 goals on their way to defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers.
