Frankfurt and Gladbach's European Hopes Continue to Fade With a Draw
2627

Seventh will take on 10th in the Bundesliga this Saturday afternoon with Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Monchengladbach aiming to finish in the top seven this season with their hopes of a spot in Europe gradually fading as we approach the end of the campaign.

Frankfurt are coming into this one off the back of a struggle in the Bundesliga and they've now dropped into seventh and saw Bayer Leverkusen move ahead of them in the table after they managed to defeat Frankfurt 3-1 last time out.

Djibril Sow did score that day, but it was merely a consolation goal in the end.

Frankfurt are now two adrift of Leverkusen in sixth and are behind RB Leipzig in fourth by seven points with the club still having hopes of a spot in Europe but there are only seven games left and time is running out to get back into the European spots.

In fact, the club are sitting above Gladbach by only six points in the table but they will be hopeful of a DFB-Pokal triumph as they edged past Union Berlin 2-0 two weeks ago after a brace from Randal Kolo Muani inside one minute of each other during the first half.

Frankfurt will meet with Stuttgart in the semi-finals in two weeks, but firstly, they are aiming to win their first game in the league since beating Werder Bremen 2-0 way back in the middle of February.

As for Gladbach, they are still outside of the top half of the table despite a 2-0 win over Wolfsburg last time out. Marcus Thuram got another goal that day after Nathan Ngoumou scored a goal too.

Prior to this, Gladbach drew 0-0 away to Koln and 2-2 at home to Werder Bremen. This means their win over Wolfsburg was their first for five games since their stunning 3-2 win over Bayern Munich during February.

In this time, Gladbach have scored only four goals and even lost 4-0 to Mainz and 3-0 to RB Leipzig.

The club remain in 10th and are sitting with nine wins on the board and 10 losses. Worse yet, they've now let in 44 goals and no side inside the top 10 has let in more.

Forebet predicts a draw here with both sides struggling to win lately. Forebet also predicts the game to see under 2.5 goals.
