Can Arsenal continue PL winning streak against Fulham?
5432

Arsenal continue to find ways to win in the Premier League. The Gunners came back from two goals down against Bournemouth a week ago to win 3-2. Mikel Arteta’s team is showing a championship mentality, but there are still 12 matches to play this campaign.

The Gunners will make the short trip to west London on Sunday to play a capital derby against Fulham at Craven Cottage. The Cottagers are coming off a 3-2 loss to Brentford at the Gtech Stadium on Monday night.

Fulham are seventh in the standings and winless in their last two matches in the league. The Cottagers are still only three points off the top six.

Arsenal are unbeaten in six straight matches versus Fulham, with five wins and one draw. The reverse fixture at the Emirates saw Arsenal win 2-1, coming from behind.

Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic opened the scoring in the 56th minute. Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard levelled the score eight minutes later and Gabriel Magalhaes scored the winner with just four minutes left on the clock.

Arsenal picked up 13 points from the last 18 points on offer in the league. They are on a four-game winning streak with three of those matches ending with over 2.5 goals.

The Gunners are the Premier League’s best away team this season. They took 31 points from the opening 13 away matches.

Fulham obtained eight points from the last six matches in the Premier League. The team scored six goals and conceded five times. Mitrovic’s goals have dried up. The striker has 11 goals in 20 Premier League games.

Mitrovic hasn’t scored since January 3 against Leicester City. The striker went scoreless in the last five appearances for Fulham.

Marco Silva will be without key midfielder Joao Palhinha due to a suspension for yellow card accumulation. Full-back Cedric Soares cannot play against Arsenal due to being on loan at Fulham from Arsenal.

Midfielder Tom Cairney is ruled out with a foot injury and Neeskens Kebano will miss the match with a calf problem. Full-back Layvin Kurzawa will miss the match with an MCL injury.

Arteta has six players on the injury list. Gabriel Jesus is still out but could return at the end of the month. Eddie Nketiah is a doubt along with Leandro Trossard due to injuries. Martin Odegaard and Kieran Tierney could be available following an illness. Mohamed Elneny is ruled out with a knee injury.

Fulham should push Arsenal for a second time this season. However, the Gunners’ championship mentality should see them gain a win at full-time 2-1. It may be another difficult match for Arsenal, but they will come out with a victory.
