On Thursday night, Union Berlin and Ajax clash at the Stadion An der Alten Forsterei in Europa League last 32 second leg tie. The first game in Amsterdam ended in a goalless draw, so it is all to play for in this clash.

Urs Fischer’s team is currently joint-top of the German Bundesliga table alongside traditional powerhouses Bayern Munich and Dortmund.

However, they trail the two giants courtesy of inferior goal difference.

The win means that Ajax is now unbeaten in their previous 13 matches in all competitions, having also kept clean sheets in four of their last five competitive games.

Despite the recent positives, the visitors have now failed to win in their last three matches in the Europa League, although they have also lost just one of their previous eight games in the competition.

Ajax has an inconsistent recent record in the Europa League. Although they have won two of their previous 11 away games in the competition, the Dutch side head to Berlin on the back of a three-game unbeaten away run in the Europa League.
