Torino and Cremonese are back in Serie A action this weekend as the Olympic Grande Torino Stadium sees Torino play hosts to the bottom-placed side with the Turin outfit in seventh after a topsy-turvy run of form in Italy over the past month.
It doesn’t feel like that long ago in which Torino managed to stun AC Milan at the San Siro in a battle for a place in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
In fact, last time out, Ivan Juric’s men managed to lose 1-0 to Milan at the San Siro as they remained in seventh and with a big gap to fill on those in the top six European spots.
Sadly for Torino, despite this being one of their better seasons in recent campaigns and how they sit above Juventus for a change, the club are still unlikely to get into Europe because of the incredible race that we are witnessing in the top six slots in Serie A.
Torino's last win came just two weeks ago when they defeated Udinese 1-0 at home thanks to a goal from Yann Karamoh in the second half of the match.
In fact, that win keeps up their excellent home record and no side has lost fewer at home outside of the top six than them and Juventus.
Juric's side did lose 2-1 to Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, however, at the start of the month, as they also drew with Empoli at the end of January.
It now keeps the Turin outfit just above Udinese in eighth by goals difference, but Juventus are hunting them down with a position in ninth and only a one-point gap on them too while having a much better goals difference.
As for Cremonese, in reality, they practically have both feet straight back into Serie B in what is proving to be one of the worst seasons we've ever witnessed in Serie A history.
After another 3-0 loss against Napoli, it's now been 22 games without registering a win for the 20th-placed side, and with Elche winning recently in La Liga, it now means they are the only side left in Europe's top five leagues yet to win a game in the league all campaign long.
This in itself is a record across Italy, and Forebet predicts another loss for them in Serie A. Forebet predicts a win for Torino and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
