A High-Scoring Thriller Expected Between Gladbach and Bayern

10th in the bundesliga will be aiming to jump right back into the win column at BORUSSIA-PARK this weekend with Borussia Monchengladbach set to welcome Bayern Munich to their home patch as the league leaders become desperate to avoid defeat.

Just prior to the World Cup in November, Bayern’s lead at the top of the table looked slim. The likes of Union Berlin and Freiburg were breathing right down their neck, just as Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt looked as if they could sneak into the title race too.

Now, Bayern are sitting ahead of Union by just one point and ahead of Dortmund by three points.

On the other hand, the league leaders do see a greatly superior goals difference over Dortmund, having scored 59 times compared to their 40 and let in only 18 goals compared to their 26. At the same time, it equals a better goals difference of 27.

Bayern also have a much better goals difference than Union, but they have won fewer games than both their title rivals this season. Julian Nagelsmann’s men do have a record of just 12 victories so far in the Bundesliga, but they have lost just once.

Their main problem has been drawing games. Koln, Frankfurt and RB Leipzig all drew with them on the first three games back in Bundesliga action, before they finally won a game by beating DFB-Pokal 4-0 and Wolfsburg 4-2.

They then went on to defeat Bochum 3-0 and even edged past Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital in midweek, as Kingsley Coman scored once again against PSG and his old side - the Frenchman bagged the winner in the Champions League final between the two three years ago.

Benjamin Pavard was also sent off for two yellow cards that day, but attention quickly turns to this tough game at BORUSSIA-PARK.

Daniel Farke's men have dropped down into 10th after a tough run of form in the past few weeks sees them with 35 goals scored and 33 let in.

What's more, they are behind Wolfsburg in seventh by four points and will be eyeing up a spot in the top half this campaign.

Gladbach were beaten by relegation fighters Hertha Berlin last time out in a stunning 4-1 loss. Forebet now predicts a win for Bayern and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
