Two sides well off the pace in La Liga will meet this weekend as Valencia travels to the José Zorrilla Stadium where Real Valladolid are yet to score a goal in 2023 and are getting pushed closer and closer into the relegation zone by the week.

It's been far from a good season for Valladolid and they are now in deep trouble after their worst spell of form this season.

Since the World Cup, the club have lost all five games and not even scored a single goal. Now, after losing 3-0 to Atletico Madrid, they have conceded nine goals during this time as well.

Further defeats in 2023 have come against Mallorca and Rayo Vallecano in La Liga, while also losing to Deportivo Alaves in the Copa del Rey round of 32. Valladolid also lost 2-0 to Real Madrid at the end of December.

It now pushes the club into the relegation zone, although they are level on points with Celta Vigo in 17th and Getafe in 16th.

The club have let in 28 goals, which is fewer than Celta Vigo, but by scoring only 13, they are in the bottom three and have to start collecting points and score a few goals too in order to move further up the La Liga table.

As for Valencia, it's been a tough season for them so far after a bit of hope started to run around the Mestalla at the start of the campaign because of signings like Edinson Cavani.

The club managed to lose 3-1 to Athletic Club at the Mestalla on Thursday evening in the Copa del Rey. Worse yet, even the goal they managed to grab in that game came through an own goal.

Valencia drew 2-2 at home last weekend too, as Almeria left the Mestalla with a point after goals from Jose Gaya and Justin Kluivert.

Further losses to Cadiz in January make this arguably the worst spell of form this season for Valencia, as they also lost on penalties to Real Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana semi-finals two weeks back.

The club have also lost to Villarreal since action resumed and their only wins have come against La Nucia in the Copa del Rey and Sporting Gijon in the same competition last Wednesday.

Forebet predicts a draw here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals in what has been a terrible run of form for both teams since the World Cup.
