Two former foes from the Championship are set to meet once more in the Premier League with Leeds United welcoming Brentford to Elland Road as the two look to further establish themselves in the top flight with a finish near the top half of the table.

Ahead of the game, the Bees are flying high up in eighth, but Leeds continue to struggle after only just winning their first game since the World Cup break.

Their run started with a 3-1 loss to Manchester City before drawing 0-0 with Newcastle United on New Year's Eve.

A 2-2 draw with West Ham United would also come earlier in January before losing for the first time in three games in a defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Leeds also drew 2-2 with Cardiff City in the FA Cup two weeks ago to force a replay that was played out in midweek.

Youngster Wilfried Gnonto was the hero that day with his two first half goals, while Rodrigo Moreno also scored in the first half to secure a 3-0 lead in the first 45 minutes.

Gnonto scored one of the FA Cup all-time great goals when he hit in a stunning scissor-kick volley from a tight angle that reminded fans of the famous goal scored by Paulo Di Canio all them years ago for West Ham United.

Patrick Bamford also got back amongst the goals after a terrible run of luck with injuries over the past year, as he scored twice towards the end of the game inside five minutes of one another to give the Whites a 5-0 lead. Cardiff City scored two goals in the last 10 minutes to make it 5-2.

As for Brentford, they are out of the FA Cup after a 1-0 loss to West Ham at the Brentford Community Stadium two weeks ago.

On the other hand, by beating the Hammers towards the end of December, the club are on a three-game winning run in the Premier League and four unbeaten in total because of their 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

Thomas Frank's men are still living off the high of smashing Liverpool 3-1 back at the start of the month, while Frank's side also edged past Bournemouth at home last weekend thanks to another effortless Ivan Toney penalty and a goal from Mathias Jensen.

Forebet predicts a win for Brentford here and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
