Brentford to Win Again as More Misery Gets Heaped on Bournemouth
3831

The Premier League is back after a week off for FA Cup action as Brentford and Bournemouth head into this game having lost their FA Cup ties on home soil with the Bees now sit 10 points above the Cherries in what is turning out to be a fantastic season for the London side.

Brentford lost at the Brentford Community Stadium to West Ham United in their FA Cup clash last time out and barely threatened the Hammers in a 1-0 loss.

They are, however, in great spirits when it comes to playing in the Premier League. In fact, Brentford are the only side in the league this season to beat Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool, which is an astonishing feat for a team of their level.

The Bees are heading into this one with six wins in the Premier League, however, and have played a game more than Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion just above them in the table.

At the same time, the club have scored 30 goals and let in 28 but sit ahead of Chelsea by one point in the table.

That win over Liverpool came last time out for Thomas Frank's men, as an own goal and a goal each from Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo sealed all three points in a memorable day for the London club.

They did, however, let a 2-0 lead slip against Tottenham Hotspur, as Vitaly Janelt and Ivan Toney bagged against Spurs before a late rally from their London rivals.

On the other hand, they are just six points behind Tottenham Hotspur in fifth and although a place in Europe is unlikely for the Bees, they can continue to dream if they rack up more wins and play like they did in the first half of that game and in the win over Liverpool.

As for Bournemouth, they have been in tatters for quite some time now and things are looking more concerning for them as the weeks go on.

The Cherries lost 4-2 to Burnley of the Championship in their FA Cup battle just last week, while also losing to Manchester United 3-0 in the league at Old Trafford not long after a 2-0 loss at home against Crystal Palace.

Chelsea have also beaten Bournemouth in the league, which is the Blues' only win in the past month too. Another defeat came after the World Cup break when Newcastle United beat the club 1-0 in the EFL Cup.

Forebet predicts a win for Brentford and over 2.5 goals.
