Reigning Europa League champions Eintracht Frankfurt host Marseille on Wednesday night in the Champions League. Group D is tight with all four teams having the chance to qualify for the round of 16.

Group D is led by Tottenham Hotspur with seven points while Marseille and Sporting CP are locked on six points apiece. Eintracht Frankfurt are fourth in the group with four points.

The Eagles are coming off back-to-back games against Tottenham Hotspur and will fancy picking up points versus both Marseille and Sporting CP.

Frankfurt scored just three goals in their opening four matches in the Champions League. Meanwhile, they allowed six goals to opponents. Eintracht Frankfurt have scored 33 goals in 17 matches in all competitions, but have conceded 24 times.

Attacking midfielder Daichi Kamada leads Eintracht Frankfurt in scoring with nine goals in all competitions. He will be Oliver Glasner’s dangerman on Wednesday. Frankfurt captain Makoto Hasebe will miss the game with an MCL injury. Defender Tuta is suspended for the game.

Eintracht Frankfurt won 1-0 away in the reverse fixture. Marseille are playing well in the Champions League despite two consecutive losses in Ligue 1. Matchday No 5 should finish 1-1 between these sides, with everything to play for on matchday No 6.
