On Wednesday night, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen face off at the Estadio Civitas Metropolitano in a potentially vital Group B game for the home team in the Champions League.

Diego Simeone's team find themselves in a major battle to make it to the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Los Colchoneros are currently in third place in Group B, two points behind second-place Porto, having won just one of their four games in the group stages of the competition.

However, this round of games could turn things Atletico’s way, with top two Club Brugge and Porto facing off in the other match in gameweek five.

Despite their poor performance in this season’s competition, a win in this clash could keep their hopes of a place in the last 16 alive.

However, wins have been in short supply for the visitors of late, as they have won just one of their previous six competitive games while suffering four defeats in the process. The visitors have also lost four of their last five away games in the Champions League.
