On Wednesday night, Viktoria Plzen and Bayern Munich clash in Group C of the Champions League as the visitors look to continue their excellent European record this season.

The Czech team continued their recent inconsistent run of form at the weekend, as they saw off Mlada Boleslav 2-0 in their domestic league. The win means that Viktoria Plzen has won two of their previous five games in all competitions.

While they have an excellent recent record in the Czech Liga, Viktoria Plzen has lost all three games in Group C against Barcelona, Inter and Bayern Munich. They have also conceded at least two goals in all three defeats in the Champions League.

Bayern has certainly produced their best results this season in the Champions League. Julian Nagelsmann’s team has won all three games in Group C against Inter, Barcelona and Viktoria Plzen without conceding a goal.

The visitors have also scored at least two goals in all three of their victories. Another win would qualify the visitors for the competition's last 16.
