Andorra and Latvia set for a stalemate
Andorra vs Latvia - 25/09/2022
3421
On Sunday afternoon, Andorra and Latvia go head-to-head at the Estadi Nacional in Group D1 of the Nations League.
The home side head into this game on the back of an inconsistent recent run of form in the international game.
However, Koldo Alvarez’s team has won two of their last three games, which by some of the standards previously set by Andorra is a good run of form.
The two recent wins are Andorra’s only victories in their 17 matches in the Nations League, however. Their recent games in the competition have been high-scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their previous seven games.
Andorra’s home record in the Nations League is poor, as they have won just one of their eight home games in the competition. A 2-1 win over Liechtenstein in their last home match ended a seven-match unbeaten run in the Nations League.
Andorra has also struggled to find the net on home soil in the competition, failing to score in five of their last six home matches in the Nations League.
The visitors are top of the group, having won four of their five matches in Group D1. A 2-1 home defeat by Moldova last time out ended a four-game winning run in the current Nations League campaign.
The defeat last time out also ended an eight-game unbeaten run in the international game for Latvia.
Latvia have a solid recent away record in the Nations League, as they are unbeaten in their last seven away matches in the competition.
A 2-0 win at Liechtenstein last time out means they have also claimed three straight away wins in the Nations League, having scored at least two goals in each win.
What does Forebet predict?
