Bocholter VV and KMSK Deinze will take a break from league action as they meet in the Belgium Cup this Wednesday evening as a Belgian First Division B side travels to a Belgian Second Amateur Division side in what should be an easy night for the away side.

Things have been far from easy for Deinze in the 2022/23 season so far and they currently sit 11th in the Belgian First Division B with a lot to prove still in this campaign.

Worse yet, after six games, the only aspect separating them from sitting bottom of the table is their two draws over Dender that keep them one point above bottom place.

What's more, the club have still lost three of the six outings so far and have the second-worst defensive record in the league.

Deinze are also in terrible form right now and have not tasted victory since back in the middle of August when Jong Genk were defeated 3-2.

The home side that day had three shots on target and scored with all three, as Teo Quintero leon netted a brace which included a 97th-minute strike that sealed all three points for Deinze.

Despite the elation of that day, Takahisa Shiraishi's men have gone on to register a four-game winless run as they drew with Virton 1-1 shortly after the Jong Genk win, before then losing 4-1 to the league leaders Lierse, and then losing to RWDM and Dender by two goals in both games.

It does put them in very weak form heading into this one, but given how they are sitting divisions above Bocholter, this should be the perfect time for Shiraishi's side to ramp things up and get back in the win column.

As for Bocholter, things could not be going much worse for them right now. So far, they are winless after three games in the Belgian Second Amateur Division with one loss and two draws on record already.

In fact, with both defeats coming in back-to-back games against Mechelen B and Tongeren 3-2, they sit with five goals conceded in the past two games and with a two-game losing run to deal with. Their only draw came at the start of September as they drew with Londerzeel 1-1.

Forebet predicts a pretty easy win for the away side here, because despite their form, they are at least a team playing in the professional ranks. Forebet predicts Deinze to win and see over 2.5 goals.
