Osasuna to Keep Flying High with a Win Against Almeria
UD Almería vs CA Osasuna - 12/09/2022
3555
The high-flying Osasuna will head back on the road to meet with Almeria at the Municipal Stadium of the Mediterranean Games with the club sitting in fifth place after four games in La Liga with the home side sitting all the way down in 13th.
It’s been a sensational start to the new season for Osasuna and their rise up the ranks in La Liga over the past two seasons has catapulted itself into this campaign.
So far, the club have won three games and lost just the once and are sitting behind Real Betis on only goals difference, while the top three are narrowly ahead with a superior points tally.
Osasuna did lose to Betis not that long ago which keeps them in fifth and adrift of the top four. They did, however, defeat Rayo Vallecano in the last game 2-1 to end that winning run, as Almar Oroz and Ruben Garcia scored a goal each.
They did also have five shots on target that day from 13 efforts in what was another excellent attacking display from the side.
The club also defeated Cadiz in gameweek two with two penalties netted in the game as Ezequiel Avila and Kike Garcia scored a goal each in the game frome the spot. Another five shots on target came in for the club, but there was once again under 2.5 goals in the game.
The biggest win of the season is still over Sevilla on the opening weekend with Qvila scoring once more, as Almar Oroz scored from the penalty spot in what is now three penalties already from four games for Osasuna.
As for Almeria they have just the one win on the board with them recording a famous 2-1 win over Sevilla. The 13th-placed side immediately fell back into the losing column with a loss, however, when Real Valladolid beat them on home soil.
Rubi's men have also lost to champions Real Madrid here at home this campaign in a 2-1 victory, with Real netting the winning goal in the final 10 minutes. A 1-1 draw with Elche does keep them inside the bottom half.
Forebet predicts Osasuna will get the job done here. The club looks like a new breed this season and it looks as if they will keep on recording these positive results.
Forebet also predicts the game to see under 2.5 goals, just as it has done in two of their three wins so far.
