Newcastle and Crystal Palace Set to Register Another Draw in the Premier League
3328

Newcastle United are back at St. James' Park when they play hosts to Crystal Palace this Saturday afternoon with 12th meeting against 13th in the Premier League as the Magpies look to swiftly move on from their bitter end to the midweek game.

Eddie Howe’s men have been excellent at times this season and it’s surprising to see them sit 12th in the table. At the time, however, they have won just one game all season long and the brutal loss to Liverpool on Tuesday Wednesday evening will take some time to get over.

The Magpies led through Alexander Isak who scored on his debut for the club, before an equaliser by Liverpool.

Isak would brutally have a second ruled out after it was found his potential winner was offside in the buildup to the goal. The Reds ended up stealing all three points in the 98th minute of the game.

Newcastle are now on six points from five games with seven goals scored and six let in. It does now leave them down in 12th, and in truth, with a pretty terrible tally in the table, considering their form at times.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, are in the same boat. The club have looked excellent at times in the league this season, but they still have barely anything to shout about after five games other than the stunning form of Wilfried Zaha.

The Ivory Coast international has now scored four goals from four games and remains at the heart of everything Palace do moving forward.

Patrick Vieira's men did draw 1-1 with Brentford in midweek where it was Zaha who scored again, but a similarly to Newcastle, a late goal from the opposition forced a draw.

Palace have also lost only twice this season after an opening day defeat to Arsenal at Selhurst Park and a loss to Manchester City at the Etihad.

By defeating Aston Villa, however, Palace do have a win on the board and have looked defensively solid at times this season, despite the two defeats. What’s more, a win could still fire the club right into the top eight other results go in their favour.

It’s set to be a clash involving in-form players like Zaha, Allan Saint-Maximin and Isak. This could bring goals, but also very little that may separate either side.

Forebet predicts a draw here and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
