Burnley Could Run Riot at the Hawthorns Against West Brom
4404

Two former Premier League sides who have had very contrasting starts to the latest Championship season will meet here as Burnley travel to the Hawthorns to meet with 14th-placed West Bromwich Albion.

Since Vincent Kompany took the helm, Burnley have looked a completely different side.

The former Manchester City captain has certainly taken a leaf out of his old side's book with them now having possession stats as high as the 60s and 70s this season.

Last time out, the club had 10 shots on target from 22 efforts as Vitinho and Jay Rodriguez scored a goal each in the 2-0 win over Millwall.

In fact, with just one loss on their record so far in the Championship, Burnley sit as the second-highest goalscorers in the league behind the league leaders Sheffield United.

The club's only loss so far came in a 1-0 defeat to fellow relegated side Watford three weeks ago. The club have also drawn three times to this point in the league as well, with Luton Town, Hull City and Blackpool all managing to get a point off the club as well.

Kompany’s side did manage to beat Shrewsbury Town 1-0 in the EFL Cup as well after previously going on a four-game winless run after the opening day win against Huddersfield Town away from home.

More than anything, it’s the stunning 5-1 victory against Wigan that catches the eye for the club, with Rodriguez scoring again, as Josh Brownhill's brace was met with a goal from Samuel Bastien and Nathan Tella.

As for West Brom, it’s been another dreadful start to the season that has once again got fans fearing another year in the Championship.

They sit 14th after seven games, and they have won just one game all season long. On the other hand, with five draws, it does mean the Baggies have lost only once in the second tier.

West Brom are unbeaten in the league in their past four games, however, having drawn with Wigan, Huddersfield and Cardiff City, while also registering a fantastic 5-2 win over Hull City two weeks back as well.

Other than the loss to Watford, Burnley ave been nearly faultless on the domestic front and have been dominating games of late too. Forebet predicts the game to see over 2.5 goals too down at the Hawthorns.

Forebet predicts Burnley will win here as they have simply looked too impressive at times throughout the campaign.
