Leipzig Expected to Finally Win This Season With a Victory Over Wolfsburg
RB Leipzig vs VfL Wolfsburg - 27/08/2022

Two of Germany’s heavyweights will clash this weekend in the Bundesliga as RB Leipzig welcome Wolfsburg to the Red Bull Arena wil both sides winless and sitting with near enough the exact same record after three league games.
It’s been a rocky road for Leipzig in the past year. Managerial changes and some huge outgoings have brought them down, but with Timo Werner - the club’s all-time top scorer - now back at the club with Christopher Nkunku staying, there is hope for them this campaign. They do, however, need to get a win fairly quickly.
Leipzig first kicked things off with the DFL Supercup encounter with Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich. Five different goalscorers for Bayern saw them win in a stunning 5-3 game, as Marcel Halstenberg, Nkunku and Dani Olmo all managed to score a goal each that day.
Alarmingly, however, the winless form has continued with Leipzig first traveling to Stuttgart to play out a 1-1 draw.
Nkunku scored yet again that day as he continues to prove his importance to the side, as the club had 28 shots that day and nine on target against a defensively-resilient Stuttgart side.
A 2-2 draw with Koln on home soil saw Werner net his first goal since returning to the club, as once again, Nkunku scored. Dominik Szoboszlai was sent off that day and remains unavailable for this game through suspension.
Union Berlin would then get the win against Leipzig with Will Orban scoring in a 2-1 loss away from home for Leipzig.
Wolfsburg also sit winless in the league, although they have netted just two goals all season long and have now gone two games without scoring. The club first played hosts to Werder Bremen, where goals from Joshua Guilavogui and Lukas Nmecha were not enough to see them get more than a point.
Niko Kovač's ,enm then travelled to the champions and lost 2-0 to Bayern, but with a goalless draw to the newly-promoted Schalke, Wolfsburg are sitting just above the relegation zone and seriously out of form.
Both sides have become desperate for a win after just three games. The gap is already increasing on the top four, and just like last season, Leipzig can’t afford to start the season so poorly or Domenico Tedesco could well be in the firing line.
Forebet predicts a narrow win for Leipzig here, as the game is expected to see over 2.5 goals.
