Tottenham to maintain unbeaten start when Wolves come to town

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to extend their unbeaten start to the Premier League season when they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to the capital on Saturday.

Spurs sit fourth in the table – two points behind Manchester City and Arsenal – having taken four points from a possible six so far.

At the opposite end of the standings, Wolves find themselves fourteenth – three points behind Tottenham – after picking up a solitary point.

Antonio Conte’s side kicked off their campaign with a 4-1 victory over Southampton, racking up 18 shots while dominating possession on home soil.

On Sunday, Spurs came from behind on two occasions to rescue a 2-2 draw against Chelsea – with Harry Kane netting a 96th-minute equaliser.

Thanks to a strong end to the previous campaign, Tottenham head into Matchday 3 on an eight-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League.

Having lost just one of their past 13 Premier League encounters, Conte’s men will be confident of dispatching Wolves on Saturday.

As for Wolves, they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Leeds United on the opening weekend – despite registering 60% possession and 15 shots.

Bruno Lage’s boys also enjoyed 60% possession against Fulham last time out. However, they were held to a goalless draw on home soil.

It is worth pointing out that Wolves have only managed to win one of their previous 11 Premier League outings.

That said, the Wanderers have not lost the first half in any of their past 19 away games in the Premier League. With that in mind, they will fancy their chances of frustrating Spurs.

Head-to-head: Tottenham have lost just five of their previous 16 Premier League meetings with Wolves, picking up eight wins and three draws.

It is also worth noting that Spurs have scored over 1.5 goals in seven of their past 16 league matches against the Wanderers.

Team news: Tottenham will be without the injured Oliver Skipp on Saturday, while Clement Lenglet is also a doubt.

As for the Wanderers, they will be without the injured trio of Chiquinho, Raul Jimenez and Joao Moutinho.

While Wolves have made a slow start to the season, Tottenham have kicked off the campaign in impressive form.

For that reason, Forebet predicts that Tottenham will secure all three points on Saturday – scoring over 1.5 goals on their way to victory.
