Northern Irish side Linfield carry a 1-0 advantage into the second leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier against Bodø/Glimt, who host the decider on Wednesday.

Despite racking up 59% possession and 18 shots in the first, Bodø/Glimt failed to make the most of their dominance. Meanwhile, Linfield converted one of their two shots on target.

The first leg appeared to be heading for a goalless stalemate, but an 83rd-minute strike from Kirk Millar saw Linfield claim a shock victory.

Worrying for Linfield, though, Bodø/Glimt head into head into the second leg on the back of a 5-0 thrashing on Jerv.

Bodø/Glimt chalked up 69% possession and 25 shots on Saturday, with Amahl Pellegrino netting a hat-trick. There were also goals for Victor Boniface and Ulrik Saltnes.

The Norwegians have now won each of their previous three Eliteserien games, meaning they have a record of eight wins, four draws and three losses this season.

Bodø/Glimt booked their place in the second round of UCL qualifying with a 4-3 aggregate win over Klaksvik. Can they continue their run on Wednesday?

As for Linfield, they claimed a 2-1 aggregate victory over Welsh side TNS to punch their ticket to the second qualification round.

Thanks to a couple of friendly triumphs, the Northern Irish outfit head into the second leg on a five-game winning streak in all competitions.

Not only have Linfield scored 15 goals across their past five outings (3 goals per game), but they have also conceded just twice.

Although Bodø/Glimt are the bookmakers’ favourites to advance, Linfield can take huge confident from their performance in the first leg.

Head-to-head: The first leg was the maiden meeting between Bodø/Glimt and Linfield, meaning the Northern Irish side have the upper hand in the H2H record.

Team news: Bodø/Glimt winger Ola Solbakken looks set to miss the second leg after picking up a shoulder injury.

Linfield are injury-free at the moment, meaning manager David Healy has a full-strength squad at his disposal.

Although Linfield claimed a shock victory in the first leg, Bodø/Glimt are expected to flex their muscles and turn the tide on Wednesday.

Forebet predicts that Bodø/Glimt will secure a low-scoring win in the second leg, keeping a clean sheet in the process.
