Deportivo Binacional will welcome Deportivo Municipal to the Estadio Guillermo Briceño Rosamedina this weekend in the third gameweek of the Clausura division as the home side look to make it two wins from three games just as the away outfit aims to get their first set of three points on the board in this stage.
It’s been a crazy period in the Clausura side of things to this point, with there being a mix of wins and defeats so far in the competition with a lack of draws.
As of now, Binacional are coming into this one off the back of two very contrasting results in the Peruvian Primera Division.
They kicked things off with a victory over San Martin in stunning fashion two weeks ago as they defeated them 4-0.
Andy Polar scored a goal that day to get things going, before Jack Aban scored another, as Elvis Emerson and Angel Ojeda got amongst the goals with one each.
On the other hand, they couldn't keep up their winning form heading into this one as they lost to Cantolao last time out in a 1-0 loss away from home.
Binacional saw just 40% of the ball that day on the road, and with only one shot on target in contrast to their eight against San Martin, they must rapidly improve and get the ball rolling once more with some positive attacking form.
Binacional were in decent goalscoring form in the Apertura side of things not too long ago, as they managed to win 10 games from the 18 fixtures of the Primera Division's first stage, scoring 24 goals along the way and letting in 19 goals.
Neither were amongst the league's best stats, but they did outscore league leaders Melgar in the process.
As for Municipal, they have drawn both of their Clausura game after two games, as they travelled to Ayacucho and played out a 1-1 draw, before heading back to home soil where they met with Cienciano in a lacklustre 0-0 draw.
It does mean over 2.5 goals has been hard to come by for the club this season, and back in the Apertura side of things, they managed to finish six points below Binacional.
What's more, they scored 30 goals and let in an astonishing 36 en route to completing their 18 games, as they also registered seven defeats and seven draws.
Forebet predicts a draw here between the two and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
