Kawasaki Frontale will be eager to not only avenge their previous defeat against Cerezo Osaka when they take on the other team from that region, Gamba, on Saturday morning.
But the hosts will also be keen to return to winning ways as they seek to reduce the deficit on 2nd placed Kashima Antlers as well.
Kawasaki Frontale have managed to record just one win out of their last six matches overall in the Japanese top flight which came in the form of a crushing 5-2 home win over Consadole Sapporo.

Gamba Osaka have also experienced a downturn in positive results of late in the domestic top flight as the visitors have managed to collect just one win out of their last seven matches overall, that being a 2-0 home win over Sanfrecce Hiroshima, but they have also stumbled to five defeats in the process as well.
Recent defeats to Cerezo Osaka, Sagan Tosu, Yokohama F Marinos, Consadole Sapporo and Shonan Bellmare have left Gamba Osaka perched just two points above the relegation play-off spot in 15th place and this upcoming trip to the Todoroki Stadium looks like being another tough assignment for the visitors.
Gamba Osaka have registered just the one away win from their previous nine outings on the road which was at Kashiwa Reysol but five defeats within this period (including losing their last four away games on the trot), suggest that the visitors face a veritable mountain to climb on Saturday morning.
Having also kept just two clean sheets in their last 12 away outings, Gamba Osaka look to have their work cut out against a highly motivated Kawasaki Frontale outfit who will be keen to return to winning ways this weekend.
