Swedish Allsvenskan leaders BK Hacken will be looking to hold onto top spot in the table when they welcome IF Elfsborg to Bravida Arena on Sunday.

Hacken sit level with second-place AIK on 24 points. However, they lead the way thanks to their superior goal difference.

On the flip side, Elfsborg find themselves seventh – one point clear of eighth-place Goteborg and six points behind Hacken.

Hacken have lost just one of their 11 Allsvenskan games this season, securing seven wins and three draws along the way.

Having netted 24 at a rate of 2.2 goals per game, the league leaders are also the second-highest scorers in the division.

Hacken head into Sunday’s clash on an eight-game unbeaten streak in the league, having picked up five wins and three draws since their last loss.

When you look at the bigger picture, they have suffered a solitary defeat in their previous 11 Allsvenskan encounters.

Given that both teams have scored in each of Hacken’s past eight league matches, we are likely to see action at both ends of the pitch on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Elfsborg have been one of the most inconsistent teams this year – recording five wins, three draws and three losses.

Although they are the third-highest scorers with 23 goals to their name, six teams sit above them in the table.

Elfsborg have lost just one of their last seven Allsvenskan games, sealing four victories and two draws in the process.

Since each of their previous three Allsvenskan matches have dished up over 2.5 goals, we should get a high-scoring affair this weekend.

Head-to-head: Elfsborg beat Hacken 4-2 when the two sides last met in September 2021. That said, Hacken thrashed Elfsborg 6-0 back in 2020.

Although Hacken have only won one of the previous seven meetings between the teams, they find themselves in a seriously strong position in the table.

Team news: BK Hacken will be without the injured duo of Benie Traore and Tobias Carlsson this weekend.

On the flip side, Elfsborg currently have right-back Viktor Widell on the sidelines with a cruciate ligament injury.

Goals are expected when Hacken host Elfsborg. As for the result, the hosts are likely to edge out the visitors.

Forebet predicts that Hacken will claim all three points on Sunday, with both sides combining for over 4.5 goals.
