Another Unmoving Result Expected Between Serbia and Slovenia in League B Group 4
Serbia vs Slovenia - 05/06/2022

Serbia and Slovenia will look to get a grip of their own fate in the Nations League this weekend as the two clash at the Red Star Stadium in Belgrade with both countries coming off the back of underwhelming losses.
When this draw was made in the Nations League League B Group 4, it was expected that both Norway and Sweden would begin to create a two-horse race for top spot in the division, as Serbia and Slovenia battle it out for third and fourth.
After one gameweek, both sides lost to the Scandinavian outfits. Serbia met with Norway, and an Erling Haaland goal inside the first 30 minutes of the game was enough for three points, but the Serbians do still sit ahead of Slovenia on goals difference as a result of their 1-0 loss.
Slovenia hosted Sweden at the same time, and two goals in the second half for them was enough to send Slovenia to the foot of the table early on in this group. They now have to win if they are to put forth an argument of progressing or remaining in this group to avoid dropping into League C.
Serbia, however, just need to find the form that sent them to the World Cup for this winter in dramatic fashion.
Aleksandar Mitrović's stoppage time goal away to Portugal caused one of the greatest upsets in recent qualification history, as it meant they pipped the Euro 2016 champions to automatic qualification to Qatar.
It was goal number 44 for Mitrovic for Serbia, which is already a record-breaking feat. The Fulham star continued to steal the headlines all season long, as he netted 43 goals in 44 league appearances for the Cottagers this season, although he has failed to score in 2022 for his country amongst the friendlies.
Slovenia were never going to head to the World Cup, however, as they ended up finishing nine points behind Group H winners Croatia, and eight behind second-placed Russia.
Moreover, unlike Serbia with Mitrovic, Slovenia have little firepower right now with Fenerbahçe’s Miha Zajc and Middlesbrough's Andraz Sporar the only two men contributing more than five goals in the current squad, as Josip Iličić has not been called up with his 16 goals in 79 caps.
A win here is vital for either side, but Forebet predicts this will bring in a draw and the game see under 2.5 goals as the two nations fight to avoid the drop in this group.
