Panathinaikos to Win Yet Again as PAOK's Winless Run Continues
5141

The Super League Greece will see one final gameweek of action with PAOK set to welcome Panathinaikos to the Toumba Stadium as the two clubs take one last swing at each other ahead of their battle in the Greek Cup final this weekend.

All eyes will be on the cup clash this weekend as there is very little to play for in the top flight of Greek football but a second-placed finish. Olympiacos have once again conquered the division, and they sit ahead of the two clubs battling it out here by an almighty 19 points.

Both have 61 points each heading into this game, and with 18 wins each for Panathinaikos and PAOK, along with seven draws and 10 losses on their records as well, they are only separated by goals difference as they’ve had practically the exact same route all year long.

PAOK have narrowly outscored their rivals this time, however, as they have netted 56 times from their 35 games this campaign, compared to the 52 Panathinaikos have.

At the same time, the club have the joint-best defensive record in the league alongside the champions Olympiacos, as Panathinaikos have let in just 24 goals compared to PAOK's 33.

Despite them being so close to one another on the stats board and in the table, they both enter this game in completely contrasting forms.

PAOK have not won a game since way back in mid-March, which has now seen them go an incredible 12 games without a win and completely destroy their title chances.

This has seen Răzvan Lucescu's men lose a Europa Conference League quarter-finals, lose to the likes of Olympiacos and draw with them too, although they did beat them over two legs in the Greek Cup semi-finals on away goals. Panathinaikos also beat them during this torrid run of form 2-1 on their own patch.

It's the worst run any of the big three sides in Greece have experienced this season, and in contrast, Panathinaikos are on an unbeaten run of 13 games in what has been arguably their best stint this season.

They've beaten Olympiacos twice in this time, managed to avoid defeats to AEK Athens twice, and also stormed to the Greek Cup final with a 3-0 aggregate win over Lamia.

The form of the away side here looks too good, and Forebet predicts a Panathinaikos win and the game to see und 2.5 goals in their final league game ahead of the Greek Cup showdown between the two.
