Everton to All But Secure Premier League Survival With a Win Against Watford
4717

Everton will look to all but secure Premier League survival this Wednesday night as they travel to Vicarage Road to meet with a Watford side who are already down which has now handed a gift to the Toffees in their attempts to avoid relegation.

It's arguably the perfect time to face Watford for Everton, and with them already down and Frank Lampard’s men having everything to play for, the club are expected to win away from home for what will be just the second time in 2022 after doing so against Leicester City recently.

Everton really have turned it up when they need it most, and after that 2-1 victory over the Foxes, they are now out of the drop zone by just one point with a game in hand. Vitaliy Mykolenko scored a beauty that day, before Mason Holgate won it for the Toffees.

That win also came after a sensational victory over third-placed Chelsea at Goodison Park, where Richarlison was the hero once more as he scored the winner just weeks after getting an equaliser against Leicester in the dying seconds. Both these goals from the Brazilian are looking like being the difference in their survival hopes right now.

Everton have a load of injury worries to be concerned about once more, however, as they lost Yerry Mina again last time out. He and Ben Godfrey are expected to miss this one, and Mykolenko is also not going to play with a thigh injury. Donny van de Beek may have also played his last game for the club with his injury keeping him out of this one.

Watford will be waving goodbye to Roy Hodgson at the end of the season, and this could well take shackles off the Hornets in the final few games.

At the same time, however, they have now conceded 70 times in the league and have lost six games on the bounce after a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.

The last victory for Watford was in a 2-1 win away to Southampton, which at the time, looked as if it might be the catalyst to get them out of the relegation zone.

It wasn’t, and they are already down and out and with only 22 points on the board, it’s been a torrid attempt to stay in the league once again.

Forebet predicts Everton to win again here and heap more misery on a dismal Watford side. Forebet also predicts the game to see over 2.5 goals, with the Toffees turning up the heat in recent weeks on the goalscoring front.
