Betis to Win Again After Their Copa del Rey Triumph as They Meet Getafe
3647

Real Betis will play their first league game since their historic victory over Valencia in the Copa del Rey final as they meet with a Getafe side in need of a win to give them a bit more confidence that they will be able to stay in the league for next season.

It’s been a crazy campaign for Getafe, who have seen themselves in the top half of the table, down in the relegation zone for the majority of 2022, but now sit just seven points adrift of 10th-placed Valencia in the table.

The club are still just five points above the relegation zone, however, and it is set to be an incredibly close fight between them, Mallorca, Cadiz and Granada in the final few weeks of the campaign, as there are very few points separating them here.

Getafe are favoured more than the others to stay in the division, and considering they were as low as 19th for the majority of 2022, they should be commended on what has been a great run in the past few months.

Last time out, Quique Sánchez Flores' men managed to beat Celta Vigo 2-0 away from home as Borja Mayoral netted twice in the game in what has been a fantastic campaign for him with Getafe.

It also put together an end to two wins on the bounce after losing to Real Madrid and Villarreal in April, but they did also manage to go unbeaten for three games prior to this.

Flores' side beat Mallorca 1-0 at home within this time, and that has given them great confidence in getting out of the bottom six and towards the top end in the final five games of the season.

On the other hand, with a meeting with Betis here and Barcelona soon to come, it’s anybody’s guess where they could end up.

As for Betis, their historic night in winning the Copa del Rey will give them excellent confidence that they can remain in fifth here and register their best season in La Liga since 2004/05 when they last won the cup and finished third.

Moreover, Manuel Pellegrini's men are ahead of Real Sociedad by two points, and even behind Atletico Madrid by just four. They will be hoping to return to winning ways in the league, however, after losing to Elche 1-0 last time around.

Forebet predicts Betis will win again here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
